The CHOP Research Institute is pleased to announce that the CHOP Research Institute Scientific Symposium, including the CHOP's annual poster day celebration, will be held May 20 and 21 at Houston Hall at the University of Pennsylvania.

Please join us for this two-day annual celebration of research at CHOP. Participants can expect opportunities to interact and engage with colleagues at both CHOP and the University of Pennsylvania. Scientific presentations, a reception and an award ceremony will be supplemented with additional time to network and celebrate a year of research and innovation. The entire CHOP community is invited to attend.

This year marks the 29th anniversary of CHOP Research Poster Day, an annual celebration of the groundbreaking research happening throughout Children's Hospital. This event includes poster presentations from researchers-in-training who will share their exciting discoveries with the CHOP community. Please join us in acknowledging the valuable contributions of the next generation of pediatric scientists and clinicians.

  • Scientific Sessions - Thursday, May 21, 2020

The theme of the 2020 symposium is "Advanced in Cell and Gene Therapy" and will focus on the advancements that CHOP researchers have made in this exciting arena. Katherine High, MD, President of Spark Therapeutics and Emeritus Professor of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania will provide the keynote address. Beverly Davidson, PhD, Chief Scientific Strategy Officer, Director, Raymond G. Perelman Center for Cellular and Molecular Therapeutics will chair the Scientific Symposium.
