Happy National Postdoc Appreciation Week!

On September 16-20, CHOP and Penn will be celebrating the 10th Anniversary of National Postdoc Appreciation Week. Our goal is to recognize and celebrate the hard work of our postdoctoral fellow population with a variety of giveaways, development events and networking opportunities.

A special BBQ event will also be held on Thursday, September 19, at 4:00-6:00pm in the Abramson Research Center Lobby and in a tent directly outside of the building. All are welcome to attend and learn more about our new CHOP Postdoctoral Association.

The Girls Advancing in STEM (GAINS) Initiative connects high school girls with an interest in STEM with peers and role models. Through annual conferences, student-led clubs, and online virtual communities, girls have the opportunity to build their network while learning about STEM careers.

This fall, the GAINS Initiative has partnered with UPenn to host their 5th Annual GAINS Conference on November 13-15, 2019. The conference will bring together over 120 high school girls from the Philadelphia area and around the US to explore STEM careers. Volunteers are needed to give STEM tours, present technical talks, and participate in a career mixer. Interested? Read on!
