The deadline to apply has been extended to December 4, 2017. Successful candidates will begin the program in January 2018.

The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs is currently accepting applications for the Advanced Career Exploration (ACE) Fellowship Program at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institute. The ACE Fellowship is an evolution of the institute’s successful Research Administration Fellowship Program, with additional opportunities to explore administrative careers beyond the research umbrella. For the pilot program, participants will have additional opportunities to explore internships in new partner offices at CHOP Hospital, UPenn and Wistar.

The ACE Fellowship Program is designed to provide critical, CV-building experience in various areas of administration. Fellows work to generate and execute impactful projects under the direction of their fellowship project mentors with support from the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs. Fellows also have the unique opportunity to participate in executive shadowing and other leadership meetings, which introduce them to concepts of strategic planning, budgeting and interdepartmental dependencies.

The fellowship is a part-time, unpaid program requiring a commitment of ten hours per week for six months. Work hours are flexible. Support from the applicant’s current supervisor (research advisor or mentor) is required to participate.

Applicants must have a graduate degree (Master’s or higher) or equivalent experience in science, education, nursing, or organizational psychology or an advanced degree in a biomedical or health care area. Postdoctoral Fellows interested in pursuing high-level administrative roles during their careers are encouraged to apply.

Interested candidates should send their curriculum vitae (CV) or resume, a brief letter of interest, and a support document from your supervisor or faculty mentor to the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs. Detailed information on the application process and program can be found at:
